After completion of our first album "Conjuring Nightside Flames", we decided to go straight into composing our second album "The Absolute". As a duo, Absentia continued to dive into blending their musical influences into their own expressions. Such influences derive from: Atmospheric/Post Black Metal, Power Metal, Progressive Metal, Classical Music, and Flamenco. The philosophical concept behind the music and lyrics of this album revolves around human struggle through what constitutes being on this plane of existence and the liberation from it all having gained the wisdom necessary to understand it.
